PERSONAL PROJECT / UX/UI & FRONTEND
My portfolio.
From wireframe to browser.
I designed and developed Digital Web Designer to make the connection between my UX/UI and frontend skills visible. The website you are exploring is both the project and the first demonstration of my work.
The problem and the goal.
Someone reviewing a designer needs to understand their skills, contribution and approach quickly. A list of skills alone does not show how an idea becomes a working experience.
The goal is to show that continuity before the introduction: structure, interface and code become explorable parts of the same project. The journey leads to the case study, profile or contact, depending on what the visitor needs.
Project constraints.
I kept the logo, blue and graphite foundation of the identity. The project needed to work on mobile and with a keyboard, without requiring visitors to watch animations before reading. This published case study covers a personal portfolio and does not attribute results to clients.
UX/UI decisions.
The work before the biography.
The homepage introduces my role and immediately lets people explore the project. The profile and services answer different questions: what I can bring to a team and how I can contribute to a website.
Three perspectives, one composition.
The wireframe shows hierarchy, the interface introduces typography and colour, and the code represents implementation. Switching perspectives keeps the same space and updates a short explanation: the interaction tells the story of a decision.
Frontend implementation.
A layout you can try.
The portfolio preview is built with HTML elements. A container query changes the composition as the container narrows: text and image move from side by side to a vertical layout. Buttons and a width control let people compare the two behaviours.
Content before enhancements.
PHP makes text and links available in the HTML. JavaScript adds the dialog menu, perspective switching and responsive preview. A locally hosted variable font, minified assets and no JavaScript library in the public interface keep dependencies limited.
Validation and limitations.
Validation covers links, metadata and rendered content, as well as menu, controls and layout at different widths. The menu handles Escape and returns focus; the main content remains available without JavaScript.
These checks are not an accessibility certification or real usage data. User testing results, field Core Web Vitals and measurements of the redesign’s effect on enquiries have not yet been published.
The result you can explore.
A portfolio in Italian and English connecting skills, services and a working demonstration. The documented result today is the website: you can compare the wireframe with the interface, change the preview width and follow the decisions explained in this project.
